Learning to love ourselves and others for who we are

At Tara’s Tots, we create a home away from home. This means making sure that every child is welcomed and celebrated for the beautiful things that make them special. We proudly support LGBTQ+, BLM, our Indigenous communities, and those from diverse walks of life.

We emphasize the importance of making time to build a strong community. Our families frequently participate in neighborhood festivals, events, and seasonal celebrations that bring out the true heart of our school’s curriculum.

Improving decision making with play based education

The Waldorf philosophy takes a holistic approach to education.  We believe in nurturing a child's social, emotional, and physical skills, in addition to their cognitive skills.

By exploring the natural world, children learn how to engage their peers and develop healthy social skills while growing their appreciation for and knowledge about nature. Our programs introduce mathematic concepts through purposeful and fun activities such as baking, memorizing and singing songs, folding, sorting, and playing counting games.

Teachers who love exploring and utilizing our natural resources

By creating a daily rhythm that challenges children through arts, recycled crafts, stories, rhymes and movement games, our students develop strong academic and physical skills.

Our Teachers encourage students to look deeper into the dirt, mud, leaves, and creatures that surround us. Fig trees, berry bushes, peach trees, and more bloom before their eyes. The wonder of nature is spread through love and careful appreciation.

“There's no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing”.
